The unmissable winter event for epicureans is returning for its
26th edition, under the famous Chapiteau in Fontvieille from 24 to 27 November!
More than 100 exhibitors will be inviting visitors to try - and buy -
their French, Italian, and European delicacies at Monte-Carlo Gastronomie, the ideal time and place to find inspiration for your festive table
decorations and food.
To get your mouth watering, special demonstrations will be held
throughout the event. Several chefs from the Principality will be putting their
aprons on and cooking up delights, including Jean-Laurent Basile (chef at the
Thermes Marins de Monte-Carlo), Patrice Guillet (sous-chef at the Café de
Paris), and Gianluca Strobino (chef at the Hôtel de Paris).
To spice things up, head over to the “Maestro Chef” competition where
eight candidates will be vying to concoct the most impressive dish, on themes
that will remain a secret until the day itself. The competitors will have the
chance to show off all their culinary skills before a jury of top chefs from
Monaco and last year’s winner Elodie Chantrel. The hopefuls will be marked for
creativity, presentation, taste, and anti-waste.
And youngsters will get their moment in the spotlight too. Budding chefs
will get the opportunity to show what they’re capable of on Monday 27 November,
in the second ever edition of “Maestro Kids”. The six fledging cooks (aged 9
and 10) will be tasked with creating a dish on the theme “cookies”, as part of
the event organised by the association Monaco Goût et Saveurs.
New for this year: An Apéritif with the Stars
will feature no fewer than 17 prestige Chefs, in aid of the Fondation Flavien
and its fight against paediatric cancers. The exceptional line-up will include
Dominique Lory, Christophe Cussac, Laurent Colin, Frédéric Ramos, and Christian
Garcia, all sponsored by Mauro Colagreco.
The 26th Monte-Carlo
Gastronomie will close on Monday 27 November with the grand prize draw at 5pm,
where visitors can win hampers containing a selection of exhibitors’ products.
