Discover an immersive and interactive experience! Take on the role of a roving reporter and set off on a mission to explore the polar regions! This new exhibition includes five thematic areas spread over two levels. Learn about the poles and their wildlife, and the men and women who populate and explore them. Fascinating objects and documents, digital content and immersive devices come together to create a 360° experience. The great voyage can begin! The IMMERSION room (space N°4) has closed. The other areas of the Polar Mission exhibition will remain open until 5 January 2025.

For George Condo, "the Humanoid is not a science fiction monster, but a depiction that uses traditional methods to bring a person's inner emotions to the surface". Over the course of eight sections, the exhibition traces the continuity of a profuse body of work that ranges from “space beings” to Who’s Who, from Guido Reni to Bugs Bunny. Featuring specially produced paintings, the exhibition offers a glimpse of the artist’s process of invention – as crazy as it is erudite – of humanoids.

This year marks the centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III, who would have turned 100 years old on 31 May 2023. As a tribute to the eclectic Prince, who created the Television Festival in 1961 and the Circus Festival in 1974, a new exhibition called "The Prince at Home" is to open at the Prince's Palace. In the State Apartments, the Palace Archives and the Audiovisual Institute will present one hundred still and moving images that represent the Sovereign's personality and work, taken at the Palace and his other residences, along with other rare documents and objects.

As precious as they are vulnerable, the oceans and seas cover 70% of our planet and account for 97% of all water found on Earth. They connect people, provide food and oxygen, regulate our climate by absorbing almost a quarter of the CO2 produced, and are home to vastly diverse species. With the support of the Monaco Department for the Environment, Olivier Jude and Sylvie Laurent have chosen to exhibit a selection of unusual images that incite a sense of wonder, but also a deep reflection on the protection of our marine environment. This exhibition is being held under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II.

Environment - "Monaco Zero Cigarette Butts"
All summer, Principality of Monaco
As every summer, Monaco City Hall is joining forces with the Tourist and Convention Authority and Société Monégasque d’Assainissement, for a campaign aimed at raising awareness among residents and visitors about the need to keep our environment clean and stamp out pollution, especially in the form of cigarette butts. Throughout the summer season, the staff at the Tourist and Convention Authority will be handing our pocket ashtrays in various areas around the Principality. For information, a number of "MégotBoxes" (terminals for collecting and recycling cigarette butts) can be found outside City Hall.

The Nouveau Musée National de Monaco presents "Santo Sospir", an exhibition by the artist Mauro Restiffe, inspired by the house occupied and decorated by Jean Cocteau in Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat between 1950 and 1962. This silent conversation, orchestrated by Restiffe in the Villa Sauber, is like a cinematographic montage that alternates long shots and close-ups, monumental prints and smaller formats, fostering an embodied vision of the tattooed villa, where a (faceless) self-portrait of the author appears.

After being displayed in the Salle de Conférences room of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, the exhibition "Regards croisés" is moving to the Saint-Martin Gardens for the whole of the summer 2023, in collaboration with Monaco's Department of Cultural Affairs and Department of Urban Amenities. The exhibition tells the story of the great expedition undertaken by Les Explorations de Monaco in the Indian Ocean in October and November 2022, as seen through the eyes of three artists - Elise Rigot, Chloé Thibault, Rémi Leroy, two photographers - Filip Kulisev, Nicolas Mathys, a journalist - Stéphane Dugast, and a director - Sylvain Péroumal.

From the floating sea ice and polar bears of the north, to the emperor penguins and vast ice deserts of the south, this exhibition features the iconic photography of Greg Lecoeur, portraying the incredible biodiversity to be found in the Arctic and Antarctic regions, both essential to the health and balance of our planet. Against a backdrop of breathtaking giant decors, "Fragile Polar Worlds" aims to document, inspire, and raise awareness about the important of protecting our oceans. Organised in collaboration with the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco.

Olga Sinclair is the daughter of the a master of modern art, Alfredo Sinclair. She began her career under the tutelage of her father, participated in professional artist exhibitions at the age of 14, studied fine arts in Madrid and received several awards, honours, national and international recognitions for her artistic and social work. The Olga Sinclair Foundation, which aims to create a new generation of children full of sensitivity for planet Earth has hosted more than 85'000 children and young adults in her workshops around the world. AMLA in collaboration with the Kamil Art Gallery and the Panama Embassy are honored to receive and present Olga in Monaco.

This major exhibition is part of celebrations to mark the 140th anniversary of Claude Monet's first visit to Monaco and the Riviera, where the great impressionist, already halfway through his long life, would discover the landscapes and light that were to be the turning point of his work and career. Around a section devoted to the paintings he produced during his stays on the Riviera, featuring twenty-one loaned pieces displayed for the first time close to the very places they were painted, the exhibition looks at the master's work, from his early days in Le Havre to his final paintings in Giverny, from the perspective of his constant quest to capture light.

As every year, the City Events Department is organising a range of activities and entertainments, including the carousel, "Crazy Kart" go-kart track for kids aged 3 and over, and two basketball courts (one for adults, and an inflatable court for kids). The activities will be open to the public on the quays at Port Hercule, along with shaded areas with plants for passers-by to cool down. A reminder of the summer exhibition "Monet in Full Light" will be installed in partnership with the Grimaldi Forum. NEW FOR 2023: chalets and stalls selling snacks and refreshments with the "Historic Sites of Monaco" label will be open to the public in the evening.
