Cinémato ! Albert I of Monaco, image and sound pioneer. Sovereign scholar and humanist, Prince Albert I (1848-1922) was interested, beyond passion for science, in all the innovative techniques of his time. Thanks to loans from the Archives of the Palace of Monaco and the Oceanographic Institute, the collections of the Audiovisual Institute and the know-how of its teams, this cabinet of curiosities intends to recall how much Prince Albert I was able to link the experience of photography and sound recording. Organised by the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco.

Visionary German curator Marcus Schäfer, with the support of Wendy Lauwers, brings together popular and well-known artists exhibiting their works in Monaco for their first time. Foremost among them is the perspectivist Adrian Bedoy, with special guests in the shape of British artist Sacha Jafri, urban painter Martin Köster, sculptor Stephan Marienfeld and painter Paulina Dornfeldt. This surprising exhibition is not to be missed!

The Elina Svitolina Foundation will hold an auction during its Annual Gala, which will be held for the first time at the Yacht Club of Monaco. The funds raised during this evening placed under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco will be used to finance the programs set up by the Foundation since 2019 including post-war Ukrainian tennis recovery program, but also to continue the logistical and material support provided to the families of beneficiaries severely impacted by the war in Ukraine.

In line with the measures adopted by the Prince's Government to encourage energy saving, including the removal of the ice skating rink, the Municipal Council is keen to propose an alternative solution to keep the young and the not-so-young amused this winter. The Roller Station will take up residence at the Stade Nautique Rainier III, in the location usually occupied by the swimming pool, and will replace the ice rink! For those without their own equipment, roller skates will be available for visitors.

The Association Dante Monaco invites the Italian community and all residents to the inauguration and blessing of the nativity scene at Saint-Charles Church, designed and created by councillor Federico Soffici. The short ceremony will be preceded by a mass in Italian, and followed as usual by the Christmas Concert, courtesy of the association. As part of its actions for Advent 2022, Saint Charles church is organising a collection in aid of the Daughters of Jesus order of nuns in Burkina Faso, whose centre offers help to young girls, most of them orphans faced by terrorist attacks.

Retracing the history of this fascinating iconographic subject, Jacopo Veneziani and the audience will rediscover the landscapes, people, emotions, and all of the oft-unnoticed details that nourish the thousand-year old dialogue between art and faith.
