During his unjust ordeal, the great writer kept a daily diary of his musings, mingling everyday anecdotes with an account of one of history's most important periods. With his customary class, humour, and philosophical outlook, Sacha Guitry reveals an intimate, secret side of himself, full of humanity and humility.
