The Printemps des Arts festival

A little history...

The Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo is a music festival founded in 1970 at the behest of Princess Grace of Monaco. H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover has been the festival's President since 1984, and the composer and conductor Bruno Mantovani has been its Artistic Director since May 2021. Following in the footsteps of his predecessor, the composer Marc Monnet, he puts together programmes that cast a critical eye over history while forging a real dialogue between the different works presented at each evening's performance.
From Medieval music to contemporary creations, traditional music to jazz, the Printemps des Arts encompasses the vast diversity of languages, aesthetics, and schools, and builds bridges between musicians who at first glance appear to have little in common.

Over the next three years, the festival is set to focus on the stylistic development of numerous composers, both classical and contemporary, by featuring their first and last works. Finally, special attention is paid to the dialogue between music and other forms of artistic expression. Dance, theatre, and even gastronomy will all play their part in this celebration of sound. 
The Printemps des Arts invites spectators to experience a veritable whirlwind of music, a whirlwind of the senses and the spirit, a whirlwind of shared discovery and wonder.

This year will include a musical dinner served in the highly prestigious Salle Belle Epoque room at the iconic Hôtel Hermitage.

A veritable composer of flavours, Michelin starred chef Yannick Alléno has concocted a menu in several movements, married perfectly with the violion of David Haroutunian for the ultimate multi-sensory experience.
