Taking place shortly after the WRC Monte-Carlo Rally, the Rallye de Monte-Carlo
Historique sees classic cars compete over a series of regularity stages.
The heritage of the WRC...
This Rally, organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco under the High Patronage of Their Serene Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Monaco, is part of the FIA calendar. It is raced over a total length of 2,152
km to 3,572 km, divided into six overall itineraries featuring a total of 17 regularity stages.
Only cars similar to those that competed in Monte-Carlo Rallies until the 51st edition in January 1983 are permitted to enter this competition, ensuring spectators get the chance to see some truly legendary models!
Unlike the WRC Monte-Carlo Rally, the Rallye de Monte-Carlo Historique takes place on open roads and for the duration of the competition, the teams are required to strictly follow the highway code in the countries they pass through.
At the end of the Rally, the penalties accumulated along the route (exceeding the speed limit, failing to follow driving regulations, taking wrong turns, etc.) are converted into points. The final tally is established by adding all those points together, and the team with the lowest number is proclaimed the winner.
On iconic routes…
For the 25th Rallye Historique de Monte-Carlo, the historical vehicles will race along the roads of Europe with the Principality as their ultimate destination.
The drivers and co-pilots will start out from the cities of Oslo, London, Turin, Bad Homburg, and Reims, heading for Monaco.
A great event that will take you back in time to the golden age of motoring.
The itinerary devised for the rally always includes classic stages, most of the generally driven in the past as part of the WRC event.
For the final stage, scheduled for the night of 31 January/1 February, the teams will drive through the famous Col de Turini pass, before returning to Port Hercule in Monaco.
It will be an opportunity to hear the roar of the engines and see the dazzling headlights of these classic vehicles. Nostalgia guaranteed!
