Experience the perfect Halloween holiday!

The Principality may be small at just two square kilometres, but it’s jam packed with fun activities! There are all kinds of attractions and institutions to visit, with lots to discover for youngsters of all ages.

Starting with a selection of kids’ clubs!

Head to the Oceanographic Museum (a.k.a. the “Temple of the Sea”), and admire the magnificent building carved into the very cliffside itself! During the school holidays, the museum invites you to embark on a  polar adventure with an amazing immersive exhibition exploring the north and south poles through the eyes of a reporter. 
The Club Océano is an absolute must for young explorers (ages 6 to 12)! And of course, there are the aquariums, always hugely popular with visitors of all ages.

If you already know all there is to know about the marine world, there are all-new, frighteningly fun experiences to discover at the Monaco Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology, where the activities on offer include: rescuing archaeologists from mortal danger in a thrilling escape game…don’t be afraid of the dark, nightmarish clay models, a prehistoric candy hunt, a fire workshop to ward off abominable prehistoric ghouls and vampires, and much more besides! Participants will need to look the part, so be sure to wear your most terrifying costume!

Are your children budding stars of the stage? The Théâtre des Muses is organising themed drama courses, a fun and educational way to develop the skills of a true performer! At the end of the course, proud parents can come and see the progress their kids have made, and give them a well-deserved round of applause.
And it’s not just for youngsters! There is also a mini family course with fun exercises to develop your cohesion, agility, expression, and improvisation skills. A unique experience for all generations to share, and a chance to laugh together, strengthen family bonds and learn to see each other in a whole new light! 

Ever wanted to learn how to cook with a Michelin-starred chef? At the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo, kids can do just that with the Little Green Chefs classes, part of the hotel’s Just For You programme. An incredible experience for youngster aged 6 to 12, who will get a unique chance to discover the kitchens of the Odyssey restaurant, and learn how to make delicious pastries and cook with “zero waste”, alongside Head Pastry Chef, Patrick Mesiano. Afterwards, they can take their creations home with them to share with the family!

Perhaps you’d rather test your brain power? If so, get your thinking cap on and tackle our Escape Games! There are several exciting themes to choose from. From a ship in distress that needs to be brought safely back to port, to a runaway train that must somehow be stopped to save its passengers, our Escape Games are a thrilling challenge for all ages! Where can you find them? At the Oceanographic Museum, Monaco Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology and Ajoya. Good luck, you’ll need your wits about you!

For children who love arts and crafts, the Exotic Garden gift shop has two great activities on offer. One will see the youngsters make their own dreamcatcher, while the other offers a chance to decorate special Halloween themed clay pots. A fun experience for the whole family to share. Give your imagination free rein! (available until 31 October).

Younger children will enjoy a spooky storytelling of “Witch and Potion" perfect for little ones aged between 5 and 7, at the “A Fàbrica” room on Monday 30 October 2023, at 2.30 pm.

And specially for the autumn holidays, Monaco Library is holding a popcorn cinema screening of the film “Kiki's Delivery Service” (in French), for children aged 6 and over, on Friday 27 October at 6 pm. 

Thanks to Monaco’s gentle Mediterranean climate, outdoor activities can continue in the autumn. For fun and games by the seaside, check out the traditional funfair which is back in Monaco!
How we missed the comforting atmosphere of the fair, with the delicious aroma of warm waffles, crêpes, and candy floss, and the thrillseekers’ cries of delight! An absolute holiday must. You’ll find the funfair at Port Hercule until 19 November (Monaco’s National Day).

Explore the Fontvieille district from a whole new angle with Captain’Game! This fun outdoor trail aims to raise awareness about the environment while revealing the best local secrets. 
Whether with family or friends, the 2.5 km long original circuit is a great way to visit Fontvieille and its port - or perhaps revisit if you already know the area well - with ten locations to find and answers to check off your list.

There are several children’s play areas dotted around the different districts of Monaco, along with a skate park in the Old Town. The perfect opportunity for kids to expend that pent-up energy until they’re tired out! While mum and day enjoy the nearby gardens.

To finish the autumn holidays in style, Halloween fans can treat themselves to some extra goosebumps with various special themed activities.

Monaco City Hall will be organising events for younger children throughout the day, including:

• A grand Halloween game at Princess Antoinette Park for children aged 6 and over, now in its 13th year, with scary costumes and sweets galore! New this year is a face-painting stand, where your kids can be transformed into adorable little monsters.
• A special Halloween day at the Espace Lamartine (for residents and students attending school in the Principality aged 16 and over), featuring a fitness class on the theme of “Wednesday” from the Addams Family and an evening of entertainment with face painting and a DJ.
• A grand game at the Botanical Centre of the Exotic Garden for children aged 8 and over (children attending school or resident in Monaco).
• A Halloween Party compered by a DJ with a dance floor for 14 to 17 year olds (also reserved for children attending school or resident in Monaco) at the Espace Léo Ferré. There will be fancy dress, a candy bar and a photo booth to make an unforgettable evening!

While adults can enjoy devilishly fun Halloween celebrations at the Buddha Bar or Twiga... prepare to be enchanted!
