On 20 September 2022, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) unveiled the calendar for the 2023 season and renewed the Monaco Grand Prix until 2025!
The official announcement came on Tuesday 20 September, as the FIA unveiled its full calendar for the 2023 season, including one of its key dates - the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix!
Next season will see the 80th edition of the iconic race, which has now been offiically renewed for at least three more years, to the great satisfaction of H.S.H. Prince Albert II.
Following the news, the Sovereign told Monaco Info:
"It is a great source of satisfaction and a great relief. I could not imagine a Formula 1 season without the Monaco Grand Prix, for historic reasons. The Monaco Grand Prix is an important moment in the life of the Principality, not just economically but also in terms of prestige and profile. It is a tradition that has been around for nearly 100 years. I want to thank the Automobile Club de Monaco, Formula One and the FIA for finding an agreement, to enable us to move forward together for the development of motor sport and Formula 1."
The race will take place in Monaco on 28 May 2023. Next season will be a record-breaking one with no fewer than 24 races on the calendar, starting in Bahrain on 5 March and ending in Abu Dhabi on 26 November.
