As the fine weather returns and the temperatures rise, what better way to enjoy the moment than by catching a movie outdoors under the stars!
There are three open-air cinema events in the Principality:
1 - The " Cine-Lagoon" night at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel.
In an enchanting setting beside the hotel's very own sandy-bottomed lagoon, experience something different on Tuesday 30 May with a screening of Luc Besson's classic film "Le Grand Bleu", from the comfort of a sun lounger in the gentle Mediterranean breeze. The movie will be accompanied by a finger food menu including the tastiest morsels the sea has to offer.
2 - The Cine-concert event "2001: A Space Odyssey" in the Salle des Princes at the Grimaldi Forum .
A unique experience and another chance to see Stanley Kubrick's 1968 cult classic "2001: A Space Odyssey" in an incredible symphonic cine-concert format, with an orchestra conducted byPieter-Jelle De Boer in collaboration with Warner Bros., the South Bank Centre London and the British Film Institute, on 21 May. This cinematic masterpiece, considered by some to be one of the greatest science fiction movies of all times, will be the highlight of celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros, which has been entertaining people all over the world for a century.
3 - The return of the Monaco Open Air Cinema
From mid-June to early September, the Monaco Open Air Cinema screens films in the open air with the Mediterranean a stunning backdrop and the seagulls providing the soundtrack, in an idyllic setting near the "Temple of the Sea".
Every year, the latest box office releases are shown on a giant 220m² screen, in their original versions with French subtitles. To make the most of your evening, a kiosk will serve snacks and sweets for the complete cinema experience.
Enjoy the film!
