A major exhibition showcasing works by a painting master, a festival featuring the world's biggest stars, classical music concerts in an exceptional setting, and an essential gathering of the international TV industry: this summer, Monaco is set to be the hottest cultural destination around!
"Monet en pleine lumière" Exhibition
Following the exhibition showcasing the works and imagination of designer Christian Louboutin, the Grimaldi Forum is putting Claude Monet firmly in the spotlight in summer 2023! The cultural institutions will be displaying around one hundred paintings by the celebrated impressionist who, like many artists in the latter half of the 19th century, spent some time on the Rivieria. Enchanted by the landscapes of the Côte d'Azur, Claude Monet even spent three months in Liguria, in Bordighera and later Menton, producing forty paintings during this time. This major exhibition will run from 8 July to 3 September, and is being made possible by a substantial loan from the Musée Marmottan to Paris and the support of public and private collections.
Monte-Carlo
Summer Festival
In Monaco, stars are not just to be found in the sky or by the names of top restaurants. They can be seen shining brightly in the Principality every summer, entertaining crowds at unforgettable concerts held as part of the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival. Since 1974, the Salle des Etoiles has played host to some of the biggest international stars including Frank Sinatra, Céline Dion, Cirque du Soleil, Tina Turner, and more recently John Legend, Jamie Cullum, and Rihanna… This summer, the festival is coming to the legendary venues owned by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer such as the Sporting, the Opéra Garnier, and the Place du Casino, which will be specially configured for the occasion. Mika, Sting, Tarkan, and Michael: the Magic of Michael Jackson are the first concerts to be announced for this 2023 festival.
Concerts by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra at the Prince's Palace
Every summer, the famous Monte-Carlo
Philharmonic Orchestra relocates its prowess to the heart of the Cour d’Honneur of the Prince’s Palace, where it stages
performances unlike any other. The idea was first born in 1959 and revives an
age-old Grimaldi family tradition. The orchestra gathers between the two
flights of the seventeenth-century staircase, and the magic is instant. Classical music and the Prince’s Palace come
together, each enhancing the magnificence of the other...
