Monaco is open to all cultures, and on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco will be celebrating Japanese pop culture by hosting the sixth edition of MAGIC: Monaco Anime Game
International Conference!
The land of the rising sun and its many cultural worlds - manga, gaming, comics, and more - is coming to Monaco. The popularity of these art forms has been growing steadily over the years, as Cédric Biscay, creator and organiser of MAGIC, would no doubt agree.
This exceptional two-day event will feature talks, round table discussions on Japanese-dominated pop culture, live drawing sessions, workshops, exhibitions, and two major competitions that make MAGIC truly unique. The first is the Magic International Cosplay Masters, with outstanding new cosplayers from 16 different countries putting on an unmissable show. The second is a special contest aimed at mangaka, with the winners seeing their creations published!
This amazing weekend will also include appearances by some big-name guests, with French astronaut Thomas Pesquet dropping by, along with Yoichi Takahashi, creator of Captain Tsubasa, Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of Final Fantasy, and William Simpson, the lead storyboarder of Game of Thrones!
Visitors can sign up to see their favourite stars free of charge by registering in advance on the event's website, with up to 3,000 places allocated per day: https://www.magic-ip.com/sinscrire-a-levenement/#_
