Regeneration work on the Larvotto coastal site officially began on 1 October 2019.
Unveiled on 3 May 2019 by Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development and Jean Castellini,
Minister of Finance and Economy, the Larvotto coastal regeneration project is now officially under way.
The complete renovation of the site will be completed by January 2022, ensuring improved protection for the beach against rough seas, while also creating new commercial space and increasing the existing public spaces.
From 1 October 2019 to 30 June 2020, the Larvotto beach, shops and restaurants will be closed. They will re-open during July and August for the 2021 summer season, before closing again in September 2021 until the work is finally completed in early 2022.
Regarding the land reclamation project, the final concrete caisson was installed on 18 July 2019, just one year after the first arrived. The protective belt is now complete!
