The Tourist and Convention Authority is launching "phase 1" of its Responsible Tourism strategy
The Tourist and Convention Authority is a department of the Prince's Government strongly committed to protecting the environment. To meet our eco-objectives and better address the needs and expectations of our customers, for whom green issues are increasingly important, we have decided to prepare a white paper.
The white paper will enable us to define and structure a clear Responsible Tourism strategy.
The first phase of this project has just been launched, and will see a survey conducted of stakeholders in the tourism industry. There is also an online questionnaire to obtain feedback from residents and visitors to the Principality.
Certified hotels and signatories to the Energy Transition Pact are working to tackle food waste in restaurants, find soft mobility solutions and showcase our green heritage and credentials. Responsible Tourism is crucially important and everyone has a part to play!
To carry out this project, the Tourist and Convention Authority, with support from the Mission for the Energy Transition, has appointed specialist firm François-Tourisme-Consultants. The first phase entails setting up an online questionnaire to gauge the views of everyone concerned.
In addition, a workshop bringing together a selection of committed partners and stakeholders is planned in November. While the main lines are due to be announced in December, the final results are due in early 2021.
