(Re)discover the Stade Louis-II!
The history, the hall of fame, the huge names who have plied their trade in the Principality... all of this makes AS Monaco a great club. The team has had a unique home venue since 1985: the Stade Louis-II. Built on land reclaimed from the sea, in the Fontvieille district, itself entirely constructed on the Mediterranean, it hosts home the Red & Whites' home matches, in addition to all kinds of other events.
Inaugurated by H.S.H. Prince Rainier III on 25 January 1985, the Stade Louis-II is a vast 30,000 m² complex that includes various sports facilities (such as the Gaston-Médecin hall where the Roca Team basketball side plays), the Albert-II nautical centre that hosts the international Mare Nostrum competition, and the athletics track, where Herculis meetings take place every summer. There is also a car park with 1 ,700 spaces on four levels, and a series of office buildings around the outside of the building.
With its unique design and architecture, the stadium complex is a breathtaking sight for spectators seated in the stands. And since the beginning of 2022, supporters and visitors have been able to take a virtual tour of the Stade Louis-II, thanks to AS Monaco and Riplee, specialist in digital innovation.
Available using technology from Oculus, whose headsets allow a high quality virtual reality experience, the tour lets visitors explore AS Monaco's virtual lounge. Fans can "walk" down the players' corridor, take to the pitch and admire the stadium's iconic arches, or take a peek into the trophy room, where they can even lift the cups themselves, emulating greats like Jean-Luc Ettori, Thierry Henry, and Kylian
Mbappé.
