Autonomous shuttle bus on the Rock

The shuttle bus can carry up to 15 passengers (11 seated, 4 standing) and is operated by the Monegasque Bus Company (CAM) in partnership with transport group Keolis, which has already trialled around thirty autonomous buses around the world (Paris La Défense, Lyon Confluence, London, Las Vegas, etc.).  
A global operator, Keolis has trained ten CAM staff to operate the buses, making CAM one of the first operators in the area to run a service of this kind and pave the way for the future of urban mobility.

The bus is manufactured by the French company Navya, the world market leader, which has more than 60 shuttle buses in operation worldwide. Safety is of course central to this project, in terms of both hardware and software. A qualified operator will be on board, who will be able to regain control of the vehicle at any time by switching to a manual navigation mode.

Come and see the future of mobility for yourself and take part in this experiment. The Rock is a unique setting in which to test a self-driving shuttle bus service. In addition to visiting some of the Principality's world famous locations, the route around Monaco Ville will include some very interesting features and challenges for testing this kind of service, such as the canyon effect, pedestrian density, open roads, etc.

Frequency: around every 20 minutes from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and from 1.30 pm to 8 pm (subject to change depending on events on the Rock)
