Big events
Monaco Energy Boat Challenge: From 1 to 6 Julu 2024, Monegasque waters will be hosting the 11th Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. The only event of its kind in the world, the Challenge is a platform for
innovation with competitors vying to create the most efficient and sustainable
marine propulsion systems. Organised by the Yacht Club de Monaco, in
collaboration with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
Monaco Art Week: From 2 to 7 July, the 6th Monaco Art Week (MAW), will take place under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of
Monaco, transforming the Principality into a vast open-air art gallery. Over
five days, the general public, art enthusiasts, collectors, and professionals
will come together around a vibrant “art journey” that takes in no fewer than
21 galleries and auction houses across the Principality.
Jumping International de Monte-Carlo: From 4 to 6 July, the Principality will be getting on its high horse,
with Port Hercule set to be transformed into an equestrian course for the Jumping International de Monte-Carlo. This prestigious event has been a fixture on the international show
jumping calendar for over fifteen years, bringing together the world’s very
best riders for a quite exceptional competition.
artmonte-carlo art fair: On 6 and 7 July 2024, artmonte-carlo will celebrate its eighth anniversary at the Grimaldi Forum. Held under
the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, this prestigious art
fair sees the Riviera become the beating hub of contemporary and modern art and
design, attracting collectors and art lovers from all over the world.
Meeting Herculis EBS: On 12 July, all eyes will be on the athletics track at the Stade Louis
II for the 38th Herculis EBS meeting. Ahead of the Paris Olympics, prepare for an elite competition that
promises some exciting duels between athletes at the very top of their game…
Tour de France in Monaco: On 21 July, the final stage of the 2024 Tour de France will take place between Monaco and Nice, with the riders racing through the legendary streets of the Formula 1
Grand Prix circuit. Once the Rock is behind them, they will take on La Turbie
before heading to the Col d’Eze, the last challenging section of this year’s
Tour de France. Finally, they will need to demonstrate all their agility as
they descend into Nice for the climax of the 111th Tour de France on the
Promenade des Anglais.
Exhibitions
“Turner, the Sublime Legacy” at
the Grimaldi Forum: From 6 July to 1 September, the Grimaldi Forum presents its summer
exhibition, “Turner, the Sublime Legacy” in collaboration with the TATE. Covering more than 2,000 m², the
exhibition is a chance to admire some of Joseph Mallord William Turner’s most
important works and sublime landscapes, and the great master’s pioneering use
of light and atmosphere.
“Medea – Pier Paolo
Pasolini” at the Villa Sauber: On 11 July, the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco is hosting a screening
of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s “Medea” as part of its current exhibition “Pasolini in Chiaroscuro”. Before the
screening, contemporary art critic, exhibition curator, and artistic director
Bartolomeo Pietromarchi will be giving a talk.
"TMC newsreels": On 17 July,Audiovisual Institute of Monaco will be giving a special screening, followed by a guided tour of the
exhibition devoted to the early days of TV channel TMC The exhibition journeys
back in time for a glimpse of everyday life in Monaco from the 1950s to the
early 70s.
“1,001 lives of an artist, Jean
Boghossian” exhibition at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo: From 20 July to 20 September, the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo is hosting
an exhibition of works by Jean Boghossian, telling the story of the artist’
lives through paintings and sculptutes at the Monegasque luxury hotel.
Concerts & shows
2024 Monte-Carlo Summer Festival: To kick off the 2024 Festival, the stars of French pop will be lighting
up the stage from 6 July as part of their Stars 80 tour, marking the 20th
anniversary of the charity Fight Aids Monaco. A succession of international
stars will be performing in Monaco throughout the summer, including Sam Smith,
Diana Krall, Jorja Smith, Myriam Fares, and Lenny Kravitz.
Concerts at the Prince’s Palace
of Monaco – Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra: This summer, the Monte-Carlo Phliharmonic will be performing a series of
seven outdoor concerts in the Cour d’Honneur at the Prince’s Palace. The
programme begins on 11 July with pianist Alexandre Kantorow, conducted by James
Gaffigan.
Music and theatre at Fort Antoine: From 2 to 30 July, Fort Antoine Theatre will be the venue for an
eclectic programme of musical evenings and theatrical performances, for a truly
memorable cultural experience.
Leisure
Summer at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco: All aboard for a polar adventure at the Oceanographic Museum, and the
chance to explore the North and South Poles through five themed areas,
including the unmissable “Immersion” room with its interactive projections.
The museum is also hosting two other themed exhibitions currently: “The Ice
Giants” by Michel Bassompierre, and “The Prince and the Mediterranean”, a
tribute to Prince Rainier III’s unbreakable bond with the seas, and the
Mediterranean in particular.
There are plenty of fun things to see and do for all the family, including an
escape game, Immerseave 360°, touch tanks to get a closer look at the
aquarium’s inhabitants, and the Oceano Club with activity weeks for kids to
learn all about the ocean and the wildlife that lives in it.
“U Sciaratu – Monaco’s Summer Carnival”: On 5 July from 6.30 pm, kids can look forward to the Summer Carnival in
Monaco’s Old Town district, a vibrant and colourful celebration with street
performances and entertainment, “Pirates & Princesses” themed activities,
and a grand ball with a DJ on the Place de la Mairie from 10 pm.
"L’Apéro des Frenchy": On 14 July, mark France’s national holiday with a visit to La Condamine
Market for a giant apéritif, with blind-tests of French music and a friendly
game or two of pétanque.

Opening of the new
restaurant L’Abysse Monte-Carlo: Multi-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno is opening his latest
restaurant L’Abysse Monte-Carlo at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo. Discover a prestige menu dedicated
to the art of sushi, created by the master sushi chef Yasunari Okazaki, a
fusion of modern French cuisine and Japanese tradition.
Billionaire at the Sporting
Monte-Carlo: From 22 July to 21 August, the legendary Salle des Étoiles is set to
host Billionaire for the second year running. The evening extravanganza combines
incredible, world-class entertainment by thirty top international artists and a
fine-dining experience.
Les Perles de Monte-Carlo: Enjoy the sunshine and sample outstanding seafood and oysters raised
right here in Monaco. Les Perles de Monte-Carlo serves up the perfect simple pleasure, to savour at the restaurant by
the port of Fontvieille, or to take out.
Campari Lounge, the summer pop-up
at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo: Campari, the iconic Italian spirit, is coming to the peaceful Excelsior
Garden the summer, replacing the Crystal Lounge. Look forward to wonderful
summer evenings at this stylish pop-up venue, with a DJ providing the music
from Thursday to Saturday.

Avenue de Monte-Carlo: Two pop-up chalets have...popped up on the Avenue de Monte-Carlo.
“Salads & More” and “Ice Creams & More” are open from 1 June to 30
September.

Hippodrome: From 8 July to 4 August, experience magical evenings with horse racing,
shows, and fireworks, along with activities and entertainments for the whole
family.
Juan Jazz Festival: From 8 to 18 July, 23 jazz artists will providing 11 evenings of
exceptional jazz music on the stage of the Pinède Gould.
Evenings at the Ephrussi de Rothschild villa and gardens: From 15 July to 27 August, explore the beautiful Ephrussi de Rothschild
