Monte-Carlo Casino

It was built in 1893 by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera House. Its marble paved "atrium", surrounded with 28 Ionic columns made of onyx, gives access to the Opera Hall (no visits) which is entirely decorated in red and gold, with bas-reliefs and sculptures.

Start of the Formula One Grand Prix
The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the oldest and most prestigious motor races in the world.  The circuit was inaugurated by the Prince in 1929. The narrow city streets make overtaking almost impossible, so qualifying is crucial to ensuring a good position on the starting grid.

Cars Collection of HSH the Prince of Monaco
The classic cars collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco now has a new look in a new location at Port Hercule, just a few yards from the iconic Formula 1 circuit.
The new exhibition space is home to some 70 vehicles, in a modern and dynamic setting with a specially designed scenography to provide visitors with an optimal experience.

Rascasse Hairpin
On the famous Monaco Formula One Grand Prix circuit, the Rascasse Hairpin is among the most iconic turns. With an angle of 135°, overtaking is virtually impossible here.

Statue of Juan Manuel Fangio
This statue sculpted by Joaquim Ros Sabaté is a tribute to the Argentine motor racing driver.  There are six such statues around the world, all identical, in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Monaco, Montmeló (Spain), Nürburg (Germany), Stuttgart (Germany) and Monza (Italy). Juan Manuel Fangio is seen by many as the greatest driver in history. In seven full seasons in Formula One, he was world champion five times (with four different teams) and runner-up twice.
