Get out and explore Fontvieille with "Captain Game", a fun outdoor game created to raise awareness about the environment while discovering the best-kept local secrets.
With family or friends, this original activity is the perfect way to discover - or rediscover - the whole Fontvieille district and its port from a new angle, by following a 2.5 km trail, finding each one of the ten locations and hunting for the answers.
The leaflets needed to play the game are available from the harbour masters' offices at Monaco's two ports, the Oceanographic Museum, the Office of Tourism, and the Zoological Gardens.
The game is part of the "Biodiversity-Active Clean Port" certification earned in 2020 by the Principality's port operator, Société d’Exploitation des Ports de Monaco (SEPM).
The partnership launched in 2014 between the Department of Maritime Affairs, the Department of the Environment, Société d’Exploitation des Ports de Monaco (SEPM), and the company Ecocéan, has now been renewed for four more years until 2027. The Yacht Club de Monaco has now signed up, and 79 new nurseries called "Biohuts" have just been installed at the Principality's two ports.
To complete this project, which helped SEPM secure Biodiversity-Active Clean Port certification in 2020, promoting its commitment to act in favour of local biodiversity in the port and its zone of influence, "Captain Game" was installed on 2 March 2023 close to the harbour master's office at the Port of Fontvieille.
Have fun!
