The collection of classic cars was previously on public display at the Terrasses de Fontvieille since 1993. It is now in a new home at 54 route de la Piscine, on a circuit that's instantly recognisable for car enthusiasts!
After being officially opened with grand ceremony by H.S.H. Prince Albert II, the Cars Collection has been on display at Port Hercule, adjacent to the legendary Formula 1 circuit, since 8 July.
The new site is not merely an iconic location in its own right, but features a modern decor and specially designed, interactive scenography that guarantees visitors a dynamic and exciting experience. From models that mark key dates in the Prince's life, to stunning race cars that have competed in Formula 1, the Monte-Carlo Rally or the Paris-Dakar Rally, see how the Principality's history is intertwined with automobiles!
A collection of almost 70 vehicles, begun by Prince Rainier III in the late 1950s, from the 1902 Humber 350, halfway between a bicycle and a motorcycle, to the unique landaulet Lexus designed specially for the Prince's Wedding in 2011. And for a fully immersive experience, the collection now includes films with audio and touchscreens to choose specific models or films.
