Monte-Carlo Summer Festival

In Monaco, it's not just the restaurants and the night skies that are star-studded. You'll find some of the world's biggest stars by the sea in the Principality every summer, where they perform unforgettable concerts during the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival.

 A summer tradition

The Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival symbolises the cultural and human adventure initiated by François Blanc, founder of the Société des Bains de Mer: offering dreams in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.

Since 1974, every July and August, the organisers of this major event, considered a tradition in the Principality, put together a sumptuous programme of concerts for every taste and every generation.

Every summer, Monaco resounds and vibrates to the beat of legendary artists following each other at breakneck speed and giving unforgettable performances. Rod Stewart, Deep Purple, Mariah Carey, Santana, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Pharell Williams, Macklemore, Christine & The Queens, and so many others…

And the Festival does not simply attract the biggest stars, from every style of music. It is also a place of discovery, a springboard where young stars such as Jamie Cullum, Rihanna, Mika and Alicia Keys can make their mark

WIth standing and seated concerts, solo artists, bands, and cabaret shows, the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival always moves with the times and every season offers something new and unexpected...

The Festival is changing!

Originally held exclusively at the Salle des Etoiles, today's Festival is an event on-the-move, with concerts in a variety of venues. Since 2021, it has seen performances in some of Monte-Carlo's most iconic locations, such as the Place du Casino, specially configured for the occasion, and the Opéra Garnier, in addition to its traditional home at the Sporting.

That's why the Festival has undergone a name change, from Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival Monte-Carlo to the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival.

Exclusive settings for exceptional performances: the Salle des Etoiles is one of the most fascinating concert halls in Europe. Its retractable roof can be drawn back in just a few minutes, providing an incredible window on the night sky for memorable concerts under the stars.

The Opéra Garnier, a miniature repliace of the famous Paris Opera, commands unique views of the Mediterranean that make it one of the Principality's most special venues.

The Place du Casino, recently renovated with the development of the One Monte-Carlo complex in 2020, has been brought up to date with removable palm trees making way for a world class events space.

The show must go on!

There's a busy programme in store for this 2024 edition of the Festival, featuring performances by Sam Smith, Lenny Kravitz, "Star 80 Encore"  for the Fight Aids Gala Evening, and many more, plus a stand-up evening with Trevor Noah.
