Artmonte-carlo

The art fair "artmonte-carlo" celebrates its eighth anniversary from 6 to 7 July at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

A unique art event...

artmonte-carlo is an art fair that aims to establish the Côte d’Azur as a leading artistic platform for contemporary art, modern art, and contemporary design, worthy of the keen interest of the region's many art collectors and art lovers.

The event hosts a prestigious selection of international galleries presented alongside a special exhibition entitled “Turner: the Sublime Legacy”, devoted to the painter J.M.W. Turner.

Two events, one aim...

In the same spirit as artgenève, artmonte-carlo stands out by its selection of leading international galleries, showcased in a carefully designed scenography and a programme of special exhibitions that aim to promote dialogue between the art trade and the institutional world.

The two fairs, one which opens the annual European contemporary art fair calendar in the winter season in Geneva, and the other taking place in the middle of summer on the Côte d’Azur, bring together two important European communities, both home to numerous galleries and other spaces closely associated with art, along with many art lovers and collectors.

More than just an exhibition…

The best artwork presented at the event receives an award:

The Prix Solo artmonte-carlo – F.P.Journe. The winning piece is then purchased and donated to the NMNM (Nouveau Musée National de Monaco).
This art fair is not limited to the Grimaldi Forum. Every year, artmonte-carlo simultaneously holds an exhibition on a yacht in the port of Monaco.
Taking place in a refined, human-size setting, artmonte-carlo is an event in the Principality's image: pleasant and with a truly international outlook.
