If you are looking to be inspired and to unearth THE unique
destination, follow us. Let us guide you.
By coming to Monaco, you are already taking the first
step on a unique journey. You will be dazzled at every turn, with every corner
of the Principality packed with treats. From Monaco-Ville to Monte-Carlo, via
Fontvieille or La Condamine, there’s so much to see. Your souvenir photo album
will be superb!
No trip to the Principality is complete without a
visit to Monaco-Ville. Lose yourself in the colourful and narrow streets of
what the locals call “The Rock”, and don’t forget to take a tour of the St. Martin
and St. Barbe gardens. Surrounded by the most beautiful Mediterranean trees,
savour the breathtaking sea views.
Pssst : When you stop to admire the sweeping views of
the port of Fontvieille, head along the promenade to your right, onto the
Ruelle Sainte-Barbe. There, nestling against the cliffside just a stone’s throw
from the Prince’s Palace, enjoy the incredible peace and tranquillity.
After being enchanted by the Rock, head to the
picture-perfect Casino de Monte-Carlo. Discover the splendid new-look square
outside one of Monaco’s most iconic venues, with the Hôtel de Paris on one side
and the Café de Paris on the other... Cameras and smartphones are always at the
ready here! Admire the varied landscapes of this part of the Principality, from
the magnificent gardens of La Petite Afrique to the luxury shopping experience
of the One Monte-Carlo not to be overlooked.
Pssst : In between the designer stores, remember to look
up: the green shades of the trees go superbly with the unique architecture of
the One and the azure-blue Mediterranean sky.
If you’re looking for a marvellous - yet more local -
perspective of Monaco, then you’ve come to the right place. This district was
entirely reclaimed from the sea over thirty years ago, and has its own special
atmosphere. You and your camera will be charmed by its energy!
Pssst : Explore the Fontvieille marina, with its mix of
small craft and superyachts, and continue on to the embankment. There, you’ll
find an unmatched view of part of the Principality and the Oceanographic Museum
standing majestically over the Mediterranean.
You don’t want to miss Monaco’s central district, and
you’re absolutely right. La Condamine stretches around Port Hercule, and is
home to a diverse atmosphere. Around the Port, with the starting grid of the
Formula One Grand Prix which makes for a perfect photo, in the streets with
their shops or around the Place d’Armes at the foot of the Palace, there is
something to suit every taste...
Pssst : If you’re an early riser, take a morning stroll
around the market on Place d’Armes where you’ll rub shoulders with the
Monegasques between the fruit and vegetable stalls, and picture the lunch
they’ll be preparing later. Your photos will be packed with colours and smiles.
The Tête de chien
Before you leave us, take a climb (550 metres to be precise), up to
the Tête de Chien promontory (the “Dog’s Head”) and open your eyes wide. This
is the ideal place from which to enjoy the most spectacular views of the
Principality. You come here at your own risk, however... as you may not want to
Pssst : In addition to having the whole of Monaco spread
out at your feet, you’ll also be able to see three different countries at once,
with the French and Italian coastlines. Smartphones at the ready!
