Monaco Dance Forum - Igra echoes Nijinsky's Games with a host of nods to the 1913 ballet in which young people hunt for tennis balls in a park at twilight. As is customary with Kor’sia, visual power plays a crucial role in the musical and theatrical choices that make this Madrid-based company one of the most innovative on the contemporary stage.

Friday 16 December 2022, at 7.30 pm, Grimaldi Forum Monaco
Monaco Dance Forum - From the Greek 'soma' (body) and the Latin sonum (sound), Sonoma is the sound of a falling body, the rage felt by humans certain that they are alive and awake… Following the success of Siena, presented at the Monaco Dance Forum in 2014, Marcos Morau and the Compagnie La Veronal are returning to the Principality with a punchy new performance.

Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo - "Noces & Opus 40"
Saturday 17, at 7.30 pm, and Sunday 18 December 2022, at 3 pm, Grimaldi Forum Monaco
Two ballets that celebrate rites of passage. Noces (2003) is a story about marriage, from the emotional deflagration of the wedding to the aftermath of the festivities and the return from chaos to order. Meanwhile, Opus 40 (2000), a freeform ballet without a narrative structure, is an ode to youth that invites us to step back into our childhood imagination and renew acquaintance with lost sensations, and the first stirrings of the flesh.
From Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 December 2022
10, avenue Princesse Grace
Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo - "Faust"
From Tuesday 27 to Saturday 31 December 2022, at 7.30 pm, Grimaldi Forum Monaco
The concept of the "trinity" has always been important in the ballets of Jean-Christophe Maillot, an association of three characters that experiments with the most universal emotions and the most intense passions. In Faust, this trinity achieves its pinnacle through the sacred yet cursed bond between Faust, Marguerite and Mephistopheles. Faust (unsatisfied and ageing), Marguerite (the feminine ideal) and Mephisto (pure evil) swim through the meanders of human comedy, whilst the tall and sensual silhouette of Death watches with great eyes filled with certainty.

Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo - "La Belle"
From Monday 26 at 7.30 pm to Thursday 29 June 2023, Grimaldi Forum Monaco
Dive into a beautiful yet ferocious psychoanalytical study of the famous fairy tale by Perrault. Jean-Christophe Maillot has striven to break through the sugary Disney crust of La Belle to create a ballet that speaks directly to our inner child, our fears and our desires. This production introduces us to the lesser-known second act of Perrault's tale, in which the heroine's awakening and her wedding to the Prince are not the end of the story.
From Monday 26 at 7:30 pm, to Thursday 29 June 2023
10, avenue Princesse Grace
Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo - "Cinderella"
From Tuesday 18 to Friday 21 July 2023, at 7.30 pm, Grimaldi Forum Monaco
In his version of Cinderella, Jean-Christophe Maillot uses the context of a blended family where grief is impossible to create vain and idle characters attempting to exist in a world dripping in artifice. The choreographer juxtaposes this universe with the naked simplicity of Cinderella. Her bare foot becomes the symbolic centre of the ballet and celebrates a part of the body without which dance could not exist.
