In Monaco, it's not just the restaurants
and the night skies that are star-studded. You'll find some of the world's
biggest and brightest stars by the sea in the Principality every summer,
glittering in unforgettable concerts at the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival.
Rock, pop and electro
Since 2006, the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival
has firmly established itself as an essential international music event.
For 2025, organisers Monte-Carlo Société
des Bains de Mer and their Artistic Director Alfonso Ciulla have come up with a
brilliantly eclectic line-up. Between 5 July and 15 August, the legendary Salle
des Etoiles will play host to icons such as Billy Idol, Carlos Santana, and
Will Smith, alongside up-and-coming talents like Benson Boone. In a major new
development for this year, electro music will be joining the party with Paul
Kalkbrenner forging an exciting synergy with the mythical nightclub Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo.
With vibrant tributes, rock legends, and the
golden age of soul celebrated by the Motown All-Stars over ten special dates,
the emblematic Festival continues to provide an incredible platform for musical
excellence under the blue skies of Monaco, giving spectators an experience they
will never forget.

A summer tradition
The Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival
encapsulates the cultural and human adventure begun by François Blanc, founder
of Société des Bains de Mer: making dreams come true in one of the world’s most
stunning destinations.
Every July and August since 1974, the
organisers of this major event, now a bone fide tradition in the Principality,
put together a sumptuous programme of concerts with something to suit all
tastes and all generations.
When summer arrives, Monaco vibes to the
sounds of a cavalcade of legendary artists, lighting up night after night with
unforgettable performances. Some of the huge names to have graced the Festival
over the years include Rod Stewart, Deep Purple, Mariah Carey, Santana, Frank
Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Pharell Williams, Macklemore, Christine
& The Queens, and so many others…
And the Festival doesn’t just attract the
biggest stars, from every style of music. It’s also a springboard for young
stars like Jamie Cullum, Rihanna, Mika and Alicia Keys to break through and
make their mark.
With
standing and seated concerts, solo artists, bands, and cabaret shows, the
Monte-Carlo Summer Festival always moves with the times and every season offers
something new and unexpected.

The
Festival is changing!
Originally held exclusively at the Salle
des Etoiles, today's Festival is an event on-the-move, with concerts in a
variety of venues. Since 2021, it has seen performances in some of
Monte-Carlo's most iconic locations, such as the Place du Casino, specially
configured for the occasion, and the Opéra Garnier, in addition to its
traditional home at the Sporting.
In keeping with its new look, the Festival
has undergone a name change, from Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival
Monte-Carlo to the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival.
Exclusive settings for exceptional
performances: the Salle des Etoiles is one of the most fascinating concert
halls in Europe. Its retractable roof
can be drawn back in just a few minutes, providing an incredible window on the
night sky for memorable concerts under the stars.
The Opéra Garnier, a miniature repliace of
the famous Paris Opera, commands unique views of the Mediterranean that make it
one of the Principality's most special venues.
The Place du Casino, recently renovated with the
development of the One Monte-Carlo complex in 2020, has been brought up to date
with removable palm trees making way for a world class events space.
