Michel Blazy Exhibition

С суббота 16 декабря 2017 по воскресенье 18 марта 2018, с 10. до 18.
Continuing the discussion that was begun on conserving artistic heritage and the relationship with time, the New National Museum of Monaco is host to the artist Michel Blazy at the Villa Sauber. From Saturday 16 December to Sunday 18 March, from 10 am to 6 pm New National Museum - Villa Sauber

Michel Blazy, who was born in Monaco, has acquired an international reputation, thanks to his installations made from living materials.
Three works are on display at Villa Sauber:

- Nature molle (Soft Nature) (acquired by the NMNM in 2009), comprised of fresh fruit and vegetables stuck into flakes of glue on a tablecloth made from the same material.  The work invites the public to follow the slow transformation and then the disappearance of the components, including crockery made of agar-agar.
- Shoe Collection (co-produced by the NMNM and the Prince's Government – Department of Cultural Affairs for the last Venice Biennale), which presents used shoes containing growing plants.  The sculpture is enclosed by an illuminated frame, and there is an irrigation process, which enables the plants to grow.
- Peau de bête (Animal Skin) (NMNM Collection) is made from cotton, onto which several layers of tapioca, beetroot juice and cream chocolate dessert have been applied.
The notion of time, which is very evident and is different for each work, underlies this exhibition.
