Youngsters will be thrilled to learn that the Splash Party is back again this year at the Stade Nautique Rainier III, where they can enjoy the swimming pool and 5 metre diving board, as well as giant inflatable structures (including a slide), with a DJ providing the musical accompaniment and free (non-alcoholic) drinks included in the admission price. As always, the giant pool party will mark the end of the school year and the start of the summer holidays!

The programme includes music, a documentary screening, performances, and readings, all designed to stimulate discussion with other types of languages that also reflect the emergence of new forms of commitment. The evening events are free to attend, but advance booking is recommended.

Exhibition - "Regards Croisés"

This exhibition tells the story of the great expedition undertaken by Les Explorations de Monaco in the Indian Ocean in October and November 2022, as seen through the eyes of three artists - Elise Rigot, Chloé Thibault, Rémi Leroy, two photographers - Filip Kulisev, Nicolas Mathys, a journalist - Stéphane Dugast, and a director - Sylvain Péroumal, as well as quotes from various participants. Visitors will discover the highlights of the expedition, and the everyday lives of those involved, the numan adventure, the ship itself - a key character in the story, the scientific work performed day and night, and the exceptional natural sites visited. It is both a celebration of travel, discovery, and imagination, and a thought-provoking reflection on a world faced with very real environmental challenges...

For George Condo, "the Humanoid is not a science fiction monster, but a depiction that uses traditional methods to bring a person's inner emotions to the surface". Over the course of eight sections, the exhibition traces the continuity of a profuse body of work that ranges from “space beings” to Who’s Who, from Guido Reni to Bugs Bunny. Featuring specially produced paintings, the exhibition offers a glimpse of the artist’s process of invention – as crazy as it is erudite – of humanoids.

Exhibition - "The Prince at Home"

This year marks the centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III, who would have turned 100 years old on 31 May 2023. As a tribute to the eclectic Prince, who created the Television Festival in 1961 and the Circus Festival in 1974, a new exhibition called "The Prince at Home" is to open at the Prince's Palace. In the State Apartments, the Palace Archives and the Audiovisual Institute will present one hundred still and moving images that represent the Sovereign's personality and work, taken at the Palace and his other residences, along with other rare documents and objects.

As precious as they are vulnerable, the oceans and seas cover 70% of our planet and account for 97% of all water found on Earth. They connect people, provide food and oxygen, regulate our climate by absorbing almost a quarter of the CO2 produced, and are home to vastly diverse species. With the support of the Monaco Department for the Environment, Olivier Jude and Sylvie Laurent have chosen to exhibit a selection of unusual images that incite a sense of wonder, but also a deep reflection on the protection of our marine environment. This exhibition is being held under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II.

Street Art Festival - "UPAINT"
From Sunday 4 to Wednesday 7 June 2023, Esplanade du Larvotto
Every year, in the Principality, world-renowned street artists meet for the UPAINT event where they create art, live, while spectators watch. The public will be able to get hands on with the spray paint, thanks to the return of the free-expression wall. With the "Junior Challenge", young aspiring artists from Monegasque schools will do graffiti alongside the artists who will have made the trip. Their mission: Transform the city into an open-air museum and raise awareness of this art in its own right.

Tout au long de l’été, Principauté de Monaco
Comme chaque été, la Mairie de Monaco s’associe à la Direction du Tourisme et des Congrès et à la Société Monégasque d’Assainissement, dans le but de sensibiliser résidents et visiteurs dans la lutte contre la pollution de notre environnement, notamment par les mégots de cigarettes. Tout au long de l’été, les hôtesses et hôtes de la Direction du Tourisme distribueront des cendriers de poche dans diverses zones de la Principauté. Pour rappel, plusieurs MégotBox (bornes de collecte et de valorisation de mégots de cigarettes) sont disposées devant les sites de l’Institution Communale.

A mix of madness and respect, this performance is a veritable explosion of Molière-based delight. We should have seen it coming, of course. Albeit with some trepidation. After Marivaux and Shakespeare, Les Mauvais Élèves are now taking on Molière. Joyfully led by the duo Shirley and Dino, their colourful and quirky characters serve up a dozen or so of the most essential and hilarious scenes written by the great Molière.

The 4th Meeting of the Historical Sites of the Grimaldis of Monaco will take place on the square outside the Prince's Palace. Six départements will be featured at the event, with eleven communes: Haut-Rhin, Lot-et-Garonne, Deux-Sèvres, Pyrénées-Orientales, Alpes-Maritimes and Haute-Corse. There will be numerous activities for all ages, including the chance to taste culinary delicacies, folk dancing, introductions to traditional arts and crafts, shows, and equestrian jousting, falconry displays, and more. Each guest site will showcase its historical links to the Principality, its region, and its cultural heritage.
